About

David Marcus Gibson began his voiceover career while he was in the beginning of growing his business as a Financial Advisor for Smith Barney. The financial markets were in a prolonged downturn from 1999-2001 and Gibson had to make extra money as he and his, then wife, were starting a family. He made his own demo CDs and used his Wall Street cold calling experience (Lehman Brothers) to find work.

By 2011, Gibson hadn’t done voiceover work in at least 5 years, but the “performing bug” was still inside. He invested in quality professional equipment, learned audio editing, and did regional work in the Orlando and Tampa areas of Florida. Wanting to get to the next level, Gibson started working with award winning voiceover coach and talent himself, Marc Cashman for commercials and Julie Williams for Medical Narration. He aspires to be a regular on the national/global circuit for commercials and documentaries.

David has three children, which mean the world to him, and feels like he’s “living the life”, as happiness comes from inside.

“I am the future voice of PBS’s Frontline. They just don’t know it yet.”
